Akinyele Local Government, Chairman Hon. Akinwole Akinleye, has called on residents to uphold the virtues of unity, compassion, and discipline imbibed during the holy month of Ramadan.
In his Eid-el-Fitr message to Muslim faithful and residents of Akinyele, Akinleye congratulated them on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast, urging them to sustain the lessons of sacrifice, patience, and devotion beyond the festive period.
He emphasised the need for peaceful coexistence among residents, noting that unity and mutual respect remain essential for the growth and development of the community.
He also encouraged acts of kindness and generosity, particularly towards the less privileged, stressing that such gestures reflect the true spirit of the season.
Akinleye further urged residents to remain law-abiding and committed to the collective progress of Akinyele, while offering prayers for continued peace, prosperity, and development in the area.
