The closing ceremony for the 2024 Batch “C” (Stream II) Orientation Course held at the Permanent Orientation Camp, Iseyin, Oyo State, was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, who was represented at the event.

The State Coordinator, Mr. Odoba Abel Oche, welcomed all attendees and highlighted the importance of the orientation programme, which had equipped the Corps Members with valuable training in both academic and physical disciplines. “The young men and women are now fully prepared for their primary assignments across the state,” Mr. Oche stated, emphasizing that the course had instilled mental reorientation through comprehensive lectures on security, finance, traditional practices, and health.

Addressing the Corps Members directly, Mr. Oche urged them to continue embodying the core values of selfless service, patriotism, integrity, commitment, and teamwork, which they had embraced during the camp. He further emphasized the importance of maintaining a disciplined and law-abiding attitude throughout their service year, stressing that the welfare of Corps Members remained a top priority for the state’s administration.

The State Coordinator also appealed to employers to ensure that Corps Members were provided with necessary amenities, such as accommodation and transportation allowances, to support them during their service year. He encouraged the local government authorities and community stakeholders to collaborate with the Corps Members in executing community development projects, which would benefit both the Corps and their host communities.

Mr. Oche concluded his address with expressions of gratitude to the Oyo State Government, local government officials, community leaders, and all other stakeholders who had supported the success of the programme. He wished the Corps Members a fulfilling and successful year ahead, invoking God’s blessings for their safety and prosperity.

In his closing remarks, Mr. Oche assured the Corps Members of continuous support and guidance throughout their service, urging them to respect the traditions of their host communities and embrace every challenge that would help them grow. The ceremony concluded with a prayer for the well-being and success of all Corps Members as they embark on their journey across Oyo State.
