Wumi Toriola fights dirty with troll over Jaiye Kuti

Nollywood actress, Wumi Toriola engaged in a bitter exchange with a critic of Jaiye Kuti over her statement on veteran actors begging for help.

Jaiye Kuti otherwise known as Jayeola Monje, had addressed the heavy backlash she received for lambasting her senior colleagues begging fans for money.

For the past few weeks, veterans like Iya Gbonkan, Lalude, Pariolodo, and Alapinni all came out to seek help from Nigerians over their deteriorating financial status.

Though many Nigerians came to their aid, Actress, Jaiye Kuti felt their behavior was deceitful.

Taking to her Instagram page, Jaiye Kuti slammed the veterans for begging for money online.

The movie star decried the alarming rate at which their cry for help is damaging the image of the Yoruba movie industry.

Jaiye Kuti noted that many of them did not plan for their future. Instead, they spent their youthful earnings on shortlived pleasures.

She, however, claimed that she is not against raising funds for health issues, but she is against tarnishing the image of the Yoruba film industry by crying for basic needs.
